– Yoga – Blended Herbal Tea –
Simple yet very efficient blend inspired by Masala and Garam Masala blends. In its base for is thought to have originated in Northern India yet some have traced its first use even to the Mongol Empire in the 13th century. Initially brewed for its medicinal properties and used in Ayurvedic medicine, this aromatic concoction can be used on its own or be blended with tea leaves, creating a drink known as Masala Chai, that not only offers warmth but also provides holistic benefits. Masala translates literally to ‘spice mix’. The blend is not particularly spicy but rather has the capacity to raise the body temperature through quickening metabolism. Ingredients of this blend are a rich source of antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties that can help fight off infections and strengthen you immune system altogether.
Composition: Cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, black pepper.
Brewing:
– Use water with temperature around 95°C and 1 -2 tsp of tea per cup
– Leave to infuse for 4-7 min.
